Regonal Event Information
These popular events get similar organisations together and give us opportunity to explore somewhere whilst making new friends.
On occassion we ask people to book on and put down a deposit on these events so that we know numbers that are likely to attend and can reserve
places at the restaurant. We use the deposit to offset each person's expenses minus £1 which is used towards the cost of organising the
event and running costs of the group.

Saturday 17th December
Winchester Christmas Market and open-air Ice Rink
The market is open until 7.30pm. Ice skating costs £9.95 for 1 hour and there are ten timed sessions throughout the day from 10.00am until 7.30pm. Our party is being co-ordinated by Martin B.

New Year at Alfriston

Enjoy a relaxing New Year break/ celebration in Alfriston, East Sussex. This Sussex flint house, partly dating from 1530 with a Tudor beamed lounge, is just a mile from the picturesque village of Alfriston. Norman and medieval sites are within easy reach, as is the Herstmonceux Science Centre, Drusilla's Zoo Park and the Seven sisters spectacular sea cliffs. Set in a large garden overlooking the Cuckmere Valley, the hostel is an ideal base for exploring the South Downs.
We have decided this time to have food provided with none of the usual problems of teams, cooking and washing up. There is also a limited number of single rooms for those who don't like sharing. The other rooms are bigger than usual and additionally, we hope to keep room numbers at half occupancy levels. There are 2 small halls and 2 lounges with comfortable chairs.
Meals provided by the hostel will include:
A two course meal on Friday Night
Full English breakfast on Saturday
Packed lunch on Saturday
Two course meal Saturday Evening
Full English breakfast on Sunday.
We hope to include a night walk on Friday evening, explore Alfriston on Saturday - options could include walking, cycling, visits to places on interest - depending on demand and the weather. On the Big Night, we will celebrate in style ...your chance to dress to impress maybe fancy dress and party into the New Year.
On Sunday after a short worship session we could drive to Beachy Head or other places of interest in the area for a visit/walk/cycle with the option of lunch at the Harvesters in the elegant New Harbour area of Eastbourne.

Prices:
Shared room (normally 3 people in a large room) £85 before 1st December 2011. Bookings after 2nd December £95.
Single Room £99.50 before December 1st. Booking after 2nd December £110.
Food is included in these prices.

David Copperfield at the Kings Theatre, Portsmouth, 2.30 pm
We plan to see the
David Copperfield
Matinee performance followed by a meal together.
Tickets are £8, £10 or £12 depending on where we sit.
